Call for Artists

IDEA Odyssey Gallery is a collective committed to promoting the work of emerging artists, primarily of African/African American, Asian, Caribbean, Latino/Latina, Native American and Pacific Islander heritage, and artists who explore diversity, culture and identity in their work. We offer two ways for artists to become involved:

Open Calls:¬†Twice a year, IDEA Odyssey issues an Open Call for Art Submissions for group exhibition. We work with a guest juror to develop a theme for the show, to which all submissions must respond. Our current open call for submissions is for History X, Contemporary Y Prospectus, with Mark Takamichi Miller as our guest juror. Submissions are due April 22, 2013. The exhibition will be at Tougo Coffee, 1410 18th Ave., in Seattle’s Central District, June 20-July 31, 2013.

Artist Membership: Be part of the Collective for not only exhibition opportunities, but also to gain skills and be part of a community of dedicated artists dedicated to nurturing each other as well as promoting cultural diversity, community development and economic prosperity through contemporary visual art.
